📋 The Universal Requirements (All Counties)
No matter which Central Florida county clerk office you visit, the state rules remain the same:
Who Must Appear: Both individuals must go together, in person to the courthouse.
What to Bring: A valid, government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, passport, or state ID).
Social Security: You must know your Social Security number (non-U.S. citizens can use a passport number instead).
Past Marriages: If either of you were married before, you must know the exact date that the previous marriage ended by divorce, death, or annulment. You do not need to bring physical divorce papers.
Expiration: Your license is valid for exactly 60 days from the issue date. The ceremony must be performed within this window.

1. Polk County Clerk of Courts
The Process: Start by completing the Polk County Online Marriage Application at home. Once submitted online, you must go into a physical branch to finish the paperwork.
Appointments: Polk County operates strictly on a walk-in basis for marriage services.
Where to Go: The main office is at the Bartow Courthouse, but you can also visit branch locations in Lakeland or Winter Haven.
2. Orange County Clerk of Courts
The Process: You can walk into the downtown Orlando courthouse or use one of their branch offices (like Winter Park, Ocoee, or Apopka).
Where to Go: In downtown Orlando, navigate to the 3rd floor, Room 350 of the Orange County Courthouse. Check in at the digital kiosk and select "Marriage License."
Payment Note: Orange County explicitly accepts cash, credit cards, and money orders.
3. Osceola County Clerk of Courts
The Process: Osceola County directs couples to complete their application online first through the Osceola Clerk Online Portal.
Appointments: Unlike Polk, it is highly recommended to schedule an in-person appointment online to finish the process.
Where to Go: The main office is located at the Osceola County Courthouse in downtown Kissimmee.
